I've created this page because I want to make a difference. Besides my wife said I could only grow a beard if it were for a good cause, and Bowel cancer Australia's Decembeard is the perfect cause.
In 2012 my father in law died from Bowel cancer, he was only 41. Later that year his oldest daughter aged 21, my wife, was diagnosed with early stage bowel cancer and underwent surgery to remove her large bowel and lives with a permanent ileostomy.
Bowel cancer is something that is very much a part of our family as my wife has FAP and her siblings are at risk of bowel cancer.
I'm inspired by the work of Bowel Cancer Australia and wanted to support them by raising money as part of my participation in Decembeard Australia 2018. Please help me help them by giving whatever you can using the 'Give Now' button. The more people that know about Bowel Cancer Australia, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
Funds could help save the lives of so many, early detection is key and if in doubt see a GP to get checked out. No one is never too young for bowel cancer.
